Indie-pop outfit She & Him [ tickets ] will play a few headlining dates this spring in advance of the pair’s new studio album and subsequent appearance at April’s Coachella Music Festival.

The duo–singer/songwriter M. Ward and actress/singer Zooey Deschanel–show a pair of dates apiece in Los Angeles (3/15 and 3/25) and New York City (3/29, 30) next month, along with shows in Savannah, GA (3/27) and Pomona, CA (4/15), before tackling their April 16 slot at Indio, CA’s Coachella. Dates are shown at right.

The duo’s second studio album, “Volume Two,” is due in stores March 23. The album–along with its first single, “In the Sun”–can currently be pre-ordered from the act’s website. The new set follows 2008’s “Volume One,” which surprised many fans who only knew of Deschanel through her acting career.

“I had no idea what I was going to hear when I first got her songs,” said Ward in the band’s bio. “I think ‘Volume One’ surprised a lot of people when they opened up the package and learned that she wrote all these songs. There are a lot of people who write music so that they can take their audience to a dark night of their own soul or to get something really heavy off their chest. I don’t think Zooey looks at music that way, and I think that’s a huge part of where her songwriting is coming from.”

Zooey Deschanel, 29, and Death Cab for Cutie singer Ben Gibbard, 33, tied the knot Saturday night near Seattle, her rep tells PEOPLE.

The couple got engaged last year when Gibbard presented Deschanel with a three-carat diamond and platinum Neil Lane ring, a source told PEOPLE at the time.

“I heard! That’d be great! As many Deschanels as we can,” he told MTV News. “[Emily's] dad directed an episode too. I think there would be some great, great moments to be had [if Zooey came on]. It was great to see that father/daughter connection. It would be great to see two sisters. Maybe Booth comes in between the two characters? Maybe Booth and Deschanel #2.”

“We’ve been looking for an opportunity to get the Deschanel girls together,” notes exec producer Hart Hanson, “but Zooey’s rockin’ career kept getting in the way.”

Assuming the scheduling can be worked out this time around, Hanson wants the star of this summer’s indie smash (500) Days of Summer to play (natch) a relative of Brennan’s. “We alluded to [her] having a cousin in Minnesota two seasons ago. I’d very much like to meet her in the Christmas episode.”
